Castillo y silo de Arévalo. Un lugar único en el mundo

The Castillo de Arévalo hosts the exhibition "Castillo y silo. Un lugar único en el mundo", organised by the Spanish Agrarian Guarantee Fund (FEGA).

Historic Castillo de Arévalo, which belongs to the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) and is managed FEGA, opens its doors to the public today as an exhibition centre.

This centre showcases and promotes an exceptional asset that is fundamental in order to understand our cultural identity. Built in the 15th century in the Mudejar style, the castle is of exceptional significance in the agricultural economy of our most recent history as in 1952 a National Wheat Service (SNT) silo was installed in the complex.

Over 60 years later, the building is beginning a new phase as a visitor's centre, home to a permanent exhibition dedicated to agriculture and its history, cereals and countryside culture, and which pays tribute to an essential element for our country's development.
