Sale of silos and plots

Sale of silos

The long-term inactivity of the silos and no future planned use for them means that these items of property are considered to no longer be needed to fulfil the responsibilities and functions of the Organisation. For this reason, the process of alienation of the silos belonging to FEGA's Basic Public Storage Network has got under way.

To this effect, the first step was to recover the use of the silos that were ceded to various Autonomous Regions under collaboration agreements by which they were entrusted to manage market intervention and regulation actions. The recovery of the use of the Basic Network silos took place in 2014 and 2015 and involved the Autonomous Regions of Aragón, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Madrid, and La Rioja. In 2016, the Basic Network silos in Andalusia were recovered for use through an amendment to the agreement signed on 23 February 2016.
